We felt honoured to take the lead on projects such as Altis IV, along with the opportunity to initiate the rebranding of Mammoth Mountain for its new owner Starwood Capital on behalf of Playground, Intrawest.

High on the mountain slopes of the sleepy village of Mammoth Lakes, towering above the Mojave Desert, was a proposed modernistic sanctuary. These stunning floor to ceiling glass cabins were designed to invite the savviest of Californians to reconnect with nature. A tall order. From naming to creating a sexy corporate identity to award-winning brochures with multiple Discovery Centers, Altis soon became legendary.

After 6 weeks of construction of the DC, our crew had literally become locals and were celebrated as those crazy Canadians who actually managed to meet the deadline. [Apparently the small community of Mammoth Lakes had never seen the likes of that before.] All bets were against us in the lottery. We loved the spirit of Mammoth, and I know we all have cherished memories of our time creating, talking politics and drinking Mojitos and wine together.
