Jim Fox Director Finance + Administration

Jim has more than 30 years experience in finance, including designing and setting up one of the first computerized integrated accounting systems for an advertising agency in Vancouver. Born in Nova Scotia, he began his career at a glass manufacturer in Toronto, moved out west to Vancouver as Chief Accountant of wholesale/retail company; and when things got boring moved onto the wacky world of advertising where he worked his way from Chief Accountant to CFO. After the sale of the Bryant, Fulton & Shee to TBWA (Omnicom) in 2001, Jim consulted to the best of the West Coast ad agencies prior to coming to Mercer.

Jim is also a bohemian artist and obtained his Certificate in Fine Arts from the Emily Carr University in 2009, walked the Camino de Santiago (twice) and since 2006, has completed numerous runs including some 25 half marathons, 20 marathons and 4 ultra-marathons.

Patricia Benedek

Patricia Benedek Administrative Assistant

Patricia has been at Mercer for just under 3 ½ years and manages the agency’s first point of contact extraordinarily well. Our clients love her and so
does our idiosyncratic, hard to get along postman. She has added energy, enthusiasm and organizational skills to both our reception and administration areas. Over the years, Patricia’s involvement at the agency has increased from reception duties to include account coordination, time reporting and junior accounting.

In addition to working at Mercer, Patricia is a part-time barmaid and spends her spare time with the love of her life, Tido. It’s little known, but Patricia holds both a Life Skills Counseling and Coach Certificate. We knew there was a reason why she fits in so well, and really none of us felt psychoanalyzed. Patricia truly is a rose between the thorns.
