Mana’o is an international, Hawaiian surf company. Created by a family-of-friends group of surfers, they make a range of surf gear and lifestyle accessories. The spirit of Mana’o is to connect different people and cultures, “one ocean, many waves”. Mercer was commissioned to create a complete identity package along with website, digital and print collateral.
Mana’o’s guiding principle is to connect people through surf; to span cultures, styles and gender. Realizing that female surfers are often overlooked, Mana’o recently launched their sister brand; Lana – a line of surf gear and wear dedicated just to women. Evocative imagery was used to show the beautiful diversity of people who surf. We use different names for different oceans, but really they’re all the same, and so are we.
